Use this challenge to increase your kindness.
Life is easier when I follow this challenge. But I'm human, and I had moments recently where I faltered and was not kind at the moment. I'm good at using guilt. Thankfully I don't use it as much as I used to, but sometimes it comes out when I feel hurt by someone close to me. I'm aware of it as soon as I use it and apologize.
Making someone feel guilty isn't going to help change the situation. It only makes the other person dislike themselves more, and that isn't conducive to real change.
I use this challenge when I'm in conflict, not to condone someone's actions, but to help myself. It helps me chill, it soothes me, and it helps create more inner peace. I work on taking a step back and remembering to look at this person how the higher power would.
I do this not to overlook what someone has done or said, but to remind myself that my reaction is a reflection of me.
