I practice this challenge almost EVERY DAY. I realized that when I focus on how much I need to get done, I am taking myself out of the moment of what I need to do now. Plus it keeps me feeling overwhelmed. How is that going to help me?
When I catch the thought of "I have so much to do and so little time," I stop and remind myself that "I always get things done and I manage my time well." This immediately brings me relief and then it helps me focus on the task in front of me.
It doesn't matter what industry you're in or if you're an entrepreneur, executive, manager, or entry-level employee - we all have a lot of work to do. When we talk about the time we don't have, we're complaining. We know complaining is bad for us so let's work on removing this complaint from our mind.
Be aware of your time but don't replay the mantra of the lack of it in your mind and conversations. Ruminating on it stresses us out, depletes our energy, and distracts us from the task at hand.
We keep working and we keep getting things done. Let that be our focus and our affirmation throughout the day.
